the story
I started my branding business in February of 2017 when I had 5 seconds of insane courage after God gave me an idea to create an email subscription for personal brand marketing tips.
Even though I had a decade of business experience under my belt and had hit the top rank in my direct sales company, I was still timid about starting my own branding business.
I had no plan, no fancy course platform, just myself, a Mailchimp email account, a PayPal account, and a passion for creative branding and marketing.
But I started.
What began as 11 clients in my first month has grown into over 4,000 female business builders learning my method in my first four years.
Weekly emails in 2017 turned into a blueprint course in 2019, then a Social Note membership and SOLD SIGN on my direct sales business in 2020.
While I assumed selling online courses would remain my focus, God had other plans.
I noticed that many students who signed up for courses never completed them. And if they did, they faced an uphill battle just to get started with their new skills.
It was clear that this strategy wasn't working as well as it used to.
Learning a new subject can be difficult enough; implementing those skills successfully is even more challenging.
So instead of courses, I started working 1:1 with clients, getting inside their business, finding growth opportunities, and building custom marketing plans to gain them more clients.
These clients didn't need to take courses; they needed someone to do the work inside their business for them; one brand marketing partner.
What started in April 2020 with a handful of individual clients officially became CORE Brand Marketing Group in October 2020.
In our first two years, we helped over 50 small businesses get more clients.
When clients give over this part of their business, they don't want to know all the details or take the time to learn the how-to - they need the job done and off their plate - without all the fuss.
